specialization master’s degree or a 4 to a 6-month advanced training course at an establishment of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in Belgium.</p><h1>Eligibility</h1><h4>In order for the application to be admissible, the candidate must:</h4><ol><li>Either from a developing country. To be eligible, applicants must reside and work in their country at the time of submission;</li><li>Only nationals of the following countries are allowed to apply for ARES scholarships: Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, Ecuador, Ethiopia ( <em>only for training in English</em> ), Haiti, Madagascar, Morocco, Niger, Peru, Philippines, DR Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, Vietnam;</li><li>Either less than 40 years old for courses, and less than 45 years old for internships , at the beginning of the training;</li><li>Holds a diploma comparable to a second cycle degree in Belgian university education. However, for some courses, different requirements may be stated, which will then be specified below;</li><li>Demonstrates a relevant professional occupation in a developing country at least two years after the end of the second cycle of university , or three years after graduation when the candidate holds a postgraduate degree by a university in an industrialized country;</li><li>Have a good knowledge of written and spoken French. For courses organized in another language, it is necessary to have a good knowledge of the language of the course, written and spoken. The candidate will also be asked to commit to learning French in order to participate in everyday life in Belgium;</li><li>Postulated for a single training .</li></ol><p>Candidates must not first obtain admission to one of the French-speaking universities in Belgium to apply for ARES scholarships.</p><div></div><h1>Benefits</h1><p>Each year, ARES awards an average of 150 scholarships for masters for nationals of the South which cover:</p><ul><li>International Travel Expenses -In economy class on an IATA company, maximum one round trip per academic year;</li><li>Subsistence allowance – 1150 EUR / month for a period of 12 months;</li><li>Indirect mission expenses – 150 EUR.  Amount awarded once per stay, upon arrival of the fellow;</li><li>Installation, didactic and return costs – 700 EUR.  Amount awarded once per stay, upon arrival of the fellow;</li><li>Registration fees – At the reduced rate for DGD Fellows;</li><li>Insurance costs – directly paid by the ARES;</li><li>Travel expenses for interuniversity training – Reimbursed on the basis of actual costs and <div>Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with the Kazakhstan’s Chief Editors Club, is pleased to announce the call for applications to the Fifth “Kazakhstan through the Eyes of Foreign Media” Competition. The contest seeks to reward original articles about Kazakhstan that have been published in a foreign (non-Kazakhstani) media outlet, <strong>between September 1, 2017 and June 1</strong><strong>5</strong><strong>, 2018</strong><strong>.</strong></div>
<div>The prize board will select five winners (each from the following geographic regions – the Americas; Europe; CIS & the Baltics; Middle East & Africa; Asia, Australia & Oceania), who will be awarded a trip to Kazakhstan in August 2018. A week-long trip will include stops in Astana, Almaty and the Borovoye Resort, an extensive cultural program and a meeting with local representatives of government, media, science, culture in order to get firsthand information about Kazakhstan, as well as to establish professional contacts with fellow professionals. Only non-Kazakhstani applicants are eligible to participate in the contest.</div>
<div><strong>The submission deadline is June 15, 2018.</strong></div>
<div>The winners will be announced <strong>on July 2, 2018</strong>, on <strong>the eve of Astana Day</strong>.</div>

<h1>DESCRIPTION</h1>
<div>The Autumn School for Sustainable Entrepreneurship is a programme for young change-makers from African countries and Germany, organised by Engagement Global with its ASA Programme within the framework of the African German Youth Initiative (AGYI). The format was launched successfully in 2016 and takes place once a year, alternately in Germany and in an African country. This year’s event will take place in Stuttgart, Germany from 22 to 26 October and is organised in partnership with Baden Württemberg Foundation for Development Cooperation and Social Impact.</div>
<div>The Autumn School is driven by the vision of a transition towards a more sustainable economy. As a learning platform it enables the participants to extend their knowledge about different aspects of sustainable entrepreneurship, maximise their social impact, share their locally acquired best practices and creative approaches with each other, and become part of an international network of young people sharing the same spirit of sustainability.</div>

<div>The Autumn School 2018 is aimed at up to 25 sustainable entrepreneurs addressing social and environmental issues through digitalisation, and who are interested in improving their business models and in maximising their impact. The format is particularly suited for entrepreneurs who are in the early implementation phase of their project.</div>
<h1>ELIGIBILITY</h1>
<div>Young Entrepreneurs (aged 21 to 35) addressing social or ecological issues through digitalisation, who are in an early implementation phase of their business.</div>
<h1>COSTS</h1>
<div>The participation in the Autumn School is free of charge. The ASA Programme will bear the expenses for travel and accommodation (for six nights) for all selected participants. Participants will furthermore be assisted with the organisation of their travels, accommodation and with their visa application.</div>

<div><strong>CDN</strong> is announcing a call for participants of the second Balkan Regional Training of the Annual Work Plan “Urban Steps for Resilient Future – Building Youth Activism in Eastern Europe”. The regional training will take place between <strong>11-15 July in Belgrade, Serbia</strong> and will gather participants from <strong>Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia</strong>.</div>
<div>The training is a part of our annual work plan and is going to (1) enable young people to analyze their cities (think global) and (2) equip them with capabilities to conduct local activities on the spot with the goal to improve their communities (act local).</div>
<div></div>
<h1>ELIGIBILITY</h1>
<ul>
<li>CDN is looking for young people from the above-mentioned countries interested in topic regardless of their previous experience;</li>
<li>Both urban activists and people who are new to this topic but keen on learning more and acting on the local level (phase 3 of the annual work plan) are encouraged to apply;</li>
<li>The team will select participants respecting the criteria of gender and geographical balance, and take into consideration the diversity of participants’ backgrounds regarding the event’s topic;</li>
<li>CDN is encouraging applications reflecting diversity in all forms, especially gender and sexual identity;</li>
<li>The working language of the training will be <strong>SCBM</strong>.</li>

<div>Founded in 2004, the International Writers’ Workshop (IWW) at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has hosted over 100 writers from more than 50 countries. We invite applications from interested writers to join our IWW 2019 Residency Programme from 17 February to 17 March 2019. This year’s programme culminates in the IWW Literary Festival: “The Many Worlds of Science Fiction.” Applicants are welcome to address how their work connects to our theme, but they are not required to do so.</div>
<div><strong>What IWW Provides:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Roundtrip economy class airfare;</li>
<li>Accommodation on HKBU’s campus for 4 weeks;</li>
<li>A per diem.</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Eligibility:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Writers must have at least one published book;</li>
<li>Currently reside outside of Hong Kong;</li>
<li>Have a functional command of English or Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Residency Programme Requirements:</strong></div>
<ul>
<li>Writers must attend the entire residency from 17 February to 17 March 2019;</li>
<li>Attend the Welcome Ceremony during the first week;</li>
<li>Participate in the Literary Festival from 11-17 March 2019. (Writers are encouraged to share a piece of writing in conversation with the Literary Festival’s theme.)</li>

<li>A 1-page, single-spaced Artist’s Statement in English or Chinese describing your work and your writing goals for the residency programme. If the statement is written in Chinese, please provide a 1-paragraph summary in English;</li>

<div>You do not need to have a financial background to apply but we consider it important when selecting candidates to see evidence of your investigative experience. Class instructions will take place <strong>in English</strong>.</div>
<div><strong>Why attend?</strong></div>
<div>Over a week, you will be shown how to investigate corporate accounts, offshore activity and corporate corruption. We will show you where to find documents, how to analyse them and other practical tools to help uncover financial secrecy.</div>
<div>A combination of guidance from senior practitioners and a workshop approach will give you the basis to investigate financial corruption as well as offering the opportunity to network with other journalists and activists.</div>

<div>The IICPSD offers a selected group of outstanding graduate-level students the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to IICPSD’s work as a center of excellence for the private sector in development and inclusive markets. <div><strong>Call for Applications to participate in the training programme of the Seventh Round of the Women’s Human Rights Training Institute (WHRTI-7), 2018-2019.</strong></div>

<div>The Institute is <strong>a unique education and training programme</strong> founded in 2004 and is the first-of-its-kind advanced training programme aimed at building and developing the capacity of young lawyers from Central and Eastern European Europe and the Newly Independent States (CEE/NIS) for litigation on women’s rights issues, including:</div>
<div><strong>– violence against women and domestic violence,</strong></div>
<div><strong>– sexual and reproductive health and rights, and</strong></div>
<div><strong>– social and economic rights, and employment discrimination,</strong></div>
<div><strong>– multiple discrimination</strong></div>
<div>The Institute, organized by the BGRF in cooperation with its partners, has already successfully completed six rounds: WHRTI-1 – 2004-2006, WHRTI-2 – 2007-2009, WHRTI-3 – 2009-2011, WHRTI-4 – 2011-2013, WHRTI-5 – 2014-2016 and WHRTI-6 – 2016-2017, and has trained more than 120 lawyers.</div>
<div>The WHRTI provides the participants <strong>advanced and in-depth knowledge and practical exercises on women’s human rights protection </strong>in the four main areas noted above.
